I spent 10 years loving my work as an elementary school teacher, shaping young minds and pouring myself into every classroom. But in the fall of 2019, my life changed in ways I could never have imagined. I became gravely ill—running a 104-degree fever for two weeks, in and out of hospitals, to the point where we were unsure if I would make it.

That season of suffering set off a cascade of chronic health issues that have never left me. For the past six years, there hasn’t been a single day where I haven’t woken up in pain—where my body hasn’t felt heavy with extreme fatigue and weakness. Simple, everyday tasks that I once did without a thought now feel like mountains to climb. I grieved the loss of the body I once relied on, the energy that fueled both my work and my joy, and the life I thought I’d always have.

Yet, in the middle of that loss, God’s presence has never left me. Even in the darkest, loneliest seasons, He was there. Over these years—and especially the last three—my faith has deepened in ways I never imagined. My husband and I were baptized three years ago on our wedding anniversary, a moment that became a turning point for us. We’ve since fully embraced our church community, serving in life groups and Bible studies. I’ve also joined the worship team and have been blessed with the opportunity to mentor high school girls, helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Through it all, I’ve learned that His grace is enough (2 Corinthians 12:9)—even when my body feels broken, even when fatigue, pain, and nausea are my constant companions. God has shown me that He can take suffering and transform it into purpose, using my story to bring hope to others. My faith has become the anchor that steadies me through chronic illness, anxiety, and doubt. And though every day is still marked by physical struggle, every day is also marked by God’s faithfulness.

I’ve been able to take the lessons of perseverance, grace, and faith that I’ve learned through illness and channel them into helping others. I know what it’s like to battle anxiety, depression, and the grief of losing the life you once knew. That’s why I am passionate about creating resources that inspire hope, encourage reflection, and deepen your walk with God—even when life doesn’t go as planned.

Alongside this spiritual mission, I have spent the past several years building a career in digital marketing, working as a freelancer for marketing companies and gaining experience across multiple industries. I’ve learned how to help clients grow their online presence strategically and creatively, while always integrating purpose and intentionality into every project.

HSB was born out of that journey. It’s a place to encourage and equip others—whether through our digital Bible studies, monthly subscriptions, or through our digital marketing services helping businesses flourish online.

We believe that God has given each of us unique gifts, and we are called to use them for His glory. Life may not always look the way we imagined, and our bodies, minds, and circumstances may change, but His love is constant, and His plans are perfect.
